The Fifties Show was the sixth episode of Season 8 of Roseanne, also the 179th overall series episode. It was written by Allan Stephan and was directed by Gail Mancuso. It originally aired on ABC-TV on November 7, 1995.

SynopsisEdit

The Conners find themselves going back in time in this spoof of 1950s sitcoms (shot mostly in black and white): Roseanne's a fussy hausfrau, Dan is a hapless businessman stewing over "the Anderson account", and Jackie's the wacky neighbor.

Plot summaryEdit

The Conners are caught in a time warp back to the 1950s in which Roseanne is a cheerful, frilly housewife, Dan is the head of the house, Jackie is an eccentric next door neighbor, Becky is a poodle-skirt wearing teenage girl with a hunky boyfriend, David is an exchange student from Canada, and DJ is an aspiring rock star who's under pressure from his dad to be a football player.
