Trick or Treat was the 7th episode of Season 3 of Roseanne, also the 54th overall series episode. A special Halloween themed holiday episode ritten by Jeff Abugov and Chuck Lorre from an original story written by Lorre, the episode was directed by John Whitesell. It originally aired on ABC-TV on October 30, 1990.

Plot summaryEdit

Roseanne shows up dressed as a bearded lumberjack to a Halloween party at the Lobo Lounge and spends the night "in character" as well as in costume.

  • Chuckie is in this episode at the beginning at Dan's poker game, but Roseanne's friend from high school Anne Marie hasn't yet. Anne Marie and Chuckie got married some time after meeting in high school. Anne Marie is introduced two episodes later in Bird is the Word. When talking in the principal's office in that episode, Anne Marie tells Roseanne her last name to which Roseanne responds, "what, did you marry Chuckie Mitchell?" Obviously, Roseanne is surprised to hear this. Perhaps they decided to keep Chuckie on the show after that poker game and wrote him and Anne Marie as husband and wife.

Jackie: It's no fun have some 60-year-old guy with a potbelly jump out and say, "ooga booga." It was scary when I was eight, even scarier now.
